C. BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Nobody can put condition to God's calling, therefore the following is not a list of conditions in order to select good candidates, but rather it must be understood as basic criteria by which any young person can certainly know if his vocation to the Dominican Order is or not genuine.
** A good will, healthy, sound and trustworthy Catholic young person.
** With a love of God and His people, desiring to offer himself totally to God in
the service of others.
** With the desire to learn more about God in prayer and study, and generous
to share his spiritual gifts with others.
** Not looking for his own personal benefits, but rather wishing to become a
faithful Preacher, an Apostle of Christ in whatever work/apostolate is
entrusted to him by his superiors.
** With intellectual talents at university level. Candidates must be able to
pursue Graduate Studies. Such a requirement conditions the age of the
candidates, because it is very difficult for older candidates to pursue
Theological Studies.
