Japan Dominican Youth Movement
The Japanese Dominican Youth Movement (JDYM) is a way for young people to follow Christ !
The JDYM is a group of ordinary young people,living ordinary lives who strengthen their Faith life by a formal commitment to regular prayer,study, meeting and sharing their Catholic Faith with others.
The JDYM is a member of the International Order of Preachers (O.P.), known also as the Dominicans, after its founder, St. Dominic of Guzman.
Following the Dominican motto "Contemplari et contemplata aliis tradere” [pass on to others what we ourselves have contemplated], JDYM's members feel called to develop a deeper relationship of love and service to God and fellowmen, working always to promote social justice and peace, in collaboration with the Dominican Family.
Supported by prayer, study, community and service, the JDYM's members fulfill their vocation to proclaim the Gospel wherever they live, study and work. TO PRAISE, TO BLESS, TO PREACH...
